Masturbation sometimes carries the weight of a certain shame or guilt, when in fact it is a powerful and profound tool for well-being! Imagine using masturbation not just to “release” tension or stress, but rather to cultivate a “deep connexion with yourself“… And now, imagine combining the calming and soothing effect of meditation on the mind and soul with the calming and soothing effect of masturbation on the body?
From the series of Élise Di interviews to Christian from La Casa Dorada.
ÉLISE: Christian, can you tell us exactly what you mean by “Meditbation”?
CHRISTIAN: It’s true that meditation together with masturbation may seem to clash at first sight.
When we talk about meditation, it is above all about the inner journey, cultivating awareness of the here and now. Meditation is also about finding hidden resources to achieve calm and serenity of soul and mind. A practice that invites patience, non-judgement and equanimity.
On the other hand, masturbation has a more tainted image. It is a strong symbol of sexual pleasure. It allows the rapid release of an internal tension, the discharge of an overflow of energy which can be linked either to strong excitement, this is positive energy, or to stress when the energy is unbalanced or blocked.
Together, these practices have a holistic approach to connecting with oneself, combined with a soothing and nourishing form of pleasure. It is about awakening all the senses in a spiritual approach.
However, as with meditation, there is also search for satisfaction or relief, a return to calm. The body seeks to restore a balance which will be found again by releasing this tension through masturbation, by providing an orgasm of greater or lesser intensity .
Now imagine making a bridge between these 2 practices! Imagine combining the calmness and soothing effect of meditation on the mind and soul with the calmness and soothing effect of masturbation on the body.
Together, these practices have a holistic approach to connecting with oneself, combined with a soothing and nourishing form of pleasure. It is about awakening all the senses in a spiritual approach.
ÉLISE: But don’t you think that it will be difficult for many people to get out of the primary function of masturbation?
CHRISTIAN: In fact we should ask ourselves: why do we masturbate? And why do we do it almost always in the same way, and for some VERY regularly?
It is important to mention that for many people, sexuality is first discovered through masturbation. And a child/teenager, boy or girl, who begins to discover his or her body, instinctively will isolate, hide and practice masturbation in a hurry.
Masturbation and carnal pleasure remain largely taboo. For many of us sexuality is laced with shame and guilt.
Why is this? Because they may feel the weight of a certain shame or guilt, that it’s not right. We see there all the burden of conditioning, be it social, educational, religious, etc… and which most of the time we are absolutely unaware of.
For example, the Christian culture, which saw the pleasure of the body as a distraction from the devotion one must have to God. This has strongly permeated sexuality with a negative image. Masturbation and carnal pleasure remain largely taboo. For many of us sexuality is laced with shame and guilt. These are feelings that arise very often in the Mindful Sexuality courses that we organise.
ÉLISE: In fact this is where it would be interesting to “redefine” the primary function of masturbation!
CHRISTIAN: Masturbation is in fact a powerful and profound tool for wellbeing! From the moment we use it not to “evacuate” tension, stress, but on the contrary for cultivating “better”.
So it seems quite coherent to associate a meditative approach to masturbation, combining the beneficial effects of masturbation and meditation. And at the same time, to make meditation a more integrative and playful practice…
The purpose of Medibation is to slow down, to take a break, to give oneself time, to centre oneself, to calm down, to be present in the moment…
The purpose of Medibation is to slow down, to take a break, to give oneself time, to centre oneself, to calm down, to be present in the moment, while combining the pleasure of the body and the senses! It is to invite curiosity, without judgement, by giving yourself the permission to be present in the moment and in one’s body at the same time.
This is the nourishing aspect of Meditation, cultivating Energy, in harmony and peace.
ÉLISE: Do you have any particular recommendations for the practice of Meditbation?
CHRISTIAN: I have 7 recommendations for the practice of Meditbation:
The benefits of Meditbation are multiple, we’ve already talked about them at the beginning of this article, but I would say that the greatest benefit is to achieve a better control of one’s Energy, to activate it, to circulate it and to orientate it.
It is by practicing Meditbation on a daily basis that in only two/three months I have become multi-orgasmic. By managing to dissociate orgasm and ejaculation, (non ejaculatory orgasms), and to determine, just by intention, the possibility of ejaculating or not, and even to control certain variations of ejaculation. I will come back to this possibility in a future blog.
Meditbation, advocates slowness and full awareness of one’s body as well as of one’s pleasure.
Also, we will be able to talk about associating Meditbation with the practice of the “Microcosmic Orbit“, of the Taoists, and which I learned from Mr Mantak Chia, the great Master of the Sexual Tao. This association allows, still with a little regular practice, to completely redefine one’s scale of pleasure, in order to have orgasms that are much longer lasting and much more intense and deep.
Rather than going straight to the point without taking the time to grasp what makes us “take off”, meditative masturbation, Meditbation, advocates slowness and full awareness of one’s body as well as of one’s pleasure.
And finally, I would like to add this quote that is particularly close to my heart:
